Here is the thing. A plain vortex meter gives you actual volume only. A multivariable meter gives you a number you can use for steam tracking, boiler efficiency, gas consumption, or departmental cost allocation.


Steam Measurement: Saturated, Superheated, and Wet Steam

For saturated steam, the integrated temperature sensor helps the Prowirl identify steam density from stored steam table data. For superheated steam, the external pressure input is needed because temperature alone is not enough. The meter computes mass flow in kg/h or lb/h.
